Comic Raid!

Since I started earning enough to have some measure of disposable income at the end of the month, I’ve been making setting aside a monthly kitty for comic books.
My latest Amcorp Mall flea market raid bore lots of fruits, including:
- Bill Sienkiewicz’s first New Mutants run circa 1984-85. Bill’s art is made of crazy-assed pencil-scratchy mania. It’s like he pencils while suffering through a bout of rage.
- Damage Control: quirky series that doesn’t focus on superheroes - instead, it’s about the engineers, handymen and cleanup crew that fix the mess superheroes make. I don’t really know why I like it, I just do.
- Moonshadow: bizarro adult fairytale by JM Dematties and brilliant watercolor art by Jon J Muth. Good stuff.
- Generation X: #1-8 - if only because of the Chris Bachalo and Mark Buckingham superteam.
All this for under RM50. Joy!
