#27: “Candy” - Mandy Moore (1999)

This song popped up on Joanne’s radio in the office recently and it sparked a Mandy Moore retrospective. God, how I hated that bitch and her stupid, smug-jawed face.

Interesting trivia about the video: Scarlett Johannsson is somewhere in it. If you make it thru the grating, conceited “I’m too sexy for you” expression and the awkward dance moves seemingly choreographed by 12-year olds, tell me if you ever spot Scarlett. I get a bad gag reflex when I see too much of Mandy’s prom bitch expression.

In 1999, I got into a part-time business selling faux watches to neighbourhood maids and kids. If only life were that easy now.
